Who Pledges? – We have no bids; Pledging is for anyone.  There is no special criteria, formula or stereotype for pledging Senate fraternity.  Our fraternity celebrates individuality and that is what makes us so unique.  The typical pledge is someone who feels that joining a fraternity will enhance their college experience.  Your absolutely right - it does. Whether you are outgoing or introverted, intelligent or dumb, athletic or clumsy you are welcome to pledge.

What is Pledging? - Pledging is a 3 week orientation  that every Senate brother has gone through to show that they are serious about their intention to join the fraternity.  It is a process to get to know the brothers of the fraternity and to learn the history, values and culture of the organization.  Pledging is often times fun, but more than anything, it requires your commitment of time to the process.  It is through the pledging process that you will learn the value of Montclair State's first and best fraternity.

What are the benefits of pledging Senate? – If you’re the type of person who likes  good parties, adventuresome road trips  and is looking for any excuse to have some fun, you are a possible candidate.  But that only scratches the surface.  The waters of Phi-Alpha-Psi run a lot deeper than that.  The friendships you make will last a lifetime and there is always a network of Brothers you can count on even many years after you have graduated.  Your active brotherhood will be four of the most  incredible  years of your life.  However, a  lot of Senators have so much fun, they opt for the five year plan.
